Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Mitsubishi Motors specially pinned two technologies on Sport Utility MPV Delica, "Auto Stop & Go" and "Cruise Control", a feature that has never existed on other Mitsubishi vehicles circulating in Indonesia.

This may be the first in Indonesia, equipped MPV Auto Stop & Go, because the system was usually there on hybrid cars or particular sedan.

Guntur Harling, Head of Product Planning Department at PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors, authorized distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Indonesia, spoke about the technology in front of reporters on Wednesday (9.23) in the arena of IIMS 2014.

According to Guntur, the Auto Stop & Go is included to help the driver optimize fuel consumption on the Mitsubishi Delica, while Cruise contol to optimize ride comfort.

Pared in various places such as, Auto Stop & Go system is effective to save vehicle fuel consumption as the engine will die automatically when stopped on the streets jammed.

Then, it would have automatically restarts when the driver stepped on the gas pedal in a few seconds.

When the brake pedal is applied, until the vehicle stops, and in a few seconds later the engine will die (off), it is clear that when there is no unused fuel and exhaust gases out.

That's where the fuel consumption will be more efficient. To run the car back, the rider simply stepping on the accelerator and the vehicle will run normally.

"However, the vehicle with Auto Stop & Go will be more fuel efficient than the vehicles (class) that without it," said Tamaki Kosei, Executive General Manager of KTB.

While the cruise control feature will add comfort as it allows for driving at a steady speed (40-100km per hour) without having to always step on the gas pedal.

By driving at a steady pace, according to Guntur, unused fuel will also be more efficient, as well as comfortable.

Besides the two technologies, Mitsubishi also added features Hill Start Assist on the MPV-capable SUV, the Mitsubishi Delica.

Hill Start Assist will further increase the comfort of the Delica. This smart feature will automatically hold the vehicle for a few seconds when the brake pedal is released in the road uphill.

"Technology that helps you drive more safely and comfortably," said Thunder.
